Traditionally more importance has been placed on the Third eye or Clairvoyance for intuition. This is for a good reason because when we clearly “see” ﬂashes, visions, etc., it leaves no doubt in our minds of what the universe is trying to communicate to us.
There are other psychic senses or “clairs”. And you may be better at getting messages through such as through physical sensations (clairsentience), through inner knowing (claircognizance), or clairaudience (clear hearing).
That voice that tells you that you should take your umbrella before you leave the house – that is clairaudience.
That feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach when you go to a job you hate – that is clairsentience.
Intuition vs. Ego/Fear
Intuition is defined as the ability to gain insight or understanding without any conscious effort. It’s non-verbal knowledge that you receive, almost like a sense.
Ego is defined as an inflated sense of self-worth. The ego has a destructive effect on your intuition because it blocks the flow of intuitive information.
Thoughts can be powerful but can block intuitive insights, while intuition does not require much thinking. It is an automatic thought.
It is very easy to get confused between your fear-based voice (ego) and your intuition- but with practice, you will learn how to distinguish between the two.
Intuition almost comes as a pattern interrupt. It does not follow the linear way of thinking. For example: if you are thinking about a problem, the answer you will get is likely not your intuition. Intuition comes when you are not thinking about that problem – which is why it either comes when you are in the middle of something different or when you are completely detached from its outcome.
Your intuition is like a mental muscle that you can strengthen. The more you listen to it, the stronger it gets and the faster you learn to recognize your inner guidance system

9 Ways to Tap Into Your Intuition
Pay attention to your body
It is often said intuition speaks to you through your body. This is because most human beings are more clairsentient than clairvoyant. Sometimes you get a gut feeling in your body. When you start listening to those cues and emotions, you will start to understand what your body is trying to tell you. It could manifest itself as a bad feeling such as chills or nausea or a feeling of lightness. This is your body speaking to you in physical sensations aka gut instinct telling you when you’re on the wrong or right path.
To understand the language of your body, close your eyes and feel the feelings of a past happy moment. Check what type of gut feelings that creates and where. Do the same thing with a past sad moment. Use those 2 feelings as your baseline to understand what your intuition is trying to convey to you through your physical body.
Practice journaling for Inspired Action
Journaling is a great way to connect you to your soul. If you are looking for inspired actions and downloads, journaling is one of the easiest ways to do this. With journaling, your left brain is occupied in the physical act of writing while your right brain is free to tap into creativity and intuition. When journaling is done without thinking, you can get some powerful insights on paper. The only catch is that you have to journal for a few minutes to get there.
Meditate with ESP/Intuition Meditations
Meditation is an amazing tool to listen to your inner knowing in the silence. When I was a beginner in meditation, I could not understand why I could not see anything the way people described that I should. I eventually realized that my dominant intuitive sense is clairaudience.
Listening to your intuition in meditation is easy – you ask the question and then you detach yourself from it, without any expectations. The answer usually comes to you. If you are still struggling with listening to intuition during meditation, then check out the ESP meditation program that I took.
Decode your subconscious using an Oracle Deck
You can do this by pulling a card from an Oracle deck. Keep shuffling until a card falls out or until you feel nudged to pick a card. If you are a beginner, start with a single pull and focus on that card and the imagery. Now journal on what that you think the card is trying to tell you. As you journal on it for a few minutes, powerful insights will flow on the paper. Just be sure to reread.
Most oracle decks are about surrender and having faith. Those are good if you are someone who is very disciplined. However, I prefer decks that are a mix of both discipline/action and surrender. These are the two that I use and recommend:
Increasing Clairvoyance through Brainwave Entrainment
I use brainwave shots to tap into my sixth sense / clairvoyance. For some reason, meditating using their Euphoria track gives me powerful visions without fail and leaves me feeling blissful and euphoric.
Increase Clairvoyance through visualization
Use the technique of visualization to visualize a day in your life a year from now. Put on a trace-like hypnotic music or Euphoria track in the background so that your resistance drops. Let the visual be as detailed as possible involving all the 5 senses. As you get better at visualizing the same scene, you will notice random visuals in your imagery. It may be something you saw in a photo frame in your dream house or a person that you met that was not a part of your intended visual. All these are intuitive insights into the next steps you need to take.

Dream journaling is one of the easiest ways to get insights on things you are likely not even thinking about but could be contributing to the chaos in your life. One of the easiest ways to do this is is by keeping a journal on your nightstand. Write in your journal about your dreams the minute you wake up.
Initially, you may not recall your dreams, but eventually, you will notice that you will get better at recalling them. Meditating regularly also increases dream recalls. Please also know that our subconscious often exaggerates things in dreams, which is why some may be quite drastic and scary. I usually journal on it, and if I still feel confused, I do a quick google search to figure out what the dream may be telling me
I have received guidance on many personal issues using this technique – things that were not on my radar but were creating issues in my life.
Working with your spirit team
Claircognizance is inner knowing. If you believe in the woo woo, you can develop it by working with your spirit guides. Meditate for 5-10 minutes. At the end of the meditation, align yourself to the vibration of love by thinking about something or someone in your life that you love with all your heart. As you align yourself to the energy of love, start journaling with the prompt: Dear Angels of Highest Truth and Compassion, please guide me on how….
Write without thinking and let the pen ink the words, while maintaining the energy of love and support.
This tattoo can unblock the 6th Chakra or your third eye. This tattoo goes on the “third eye” just above and between the brows, which makes it look quite unusual. The manufacturers recommend “wearing it” at night without any water affixing it, which means you can use it 7-10 times. Lastly, Act on the intuition
Intuition and gut feeling can only take you so far. This is the spiritual/subconscious guidance that you are given. The next step is to manifest your desires by bringing that intuition into the material world. This is done by taking action on your inspiration, also known as aligned action or inspired action.
There was a time when I would sit on my inspired actions because I had so much to do. I put them on my to-do list that I never got to. And then I wondered why things were not happening. I remember picking up a course by Joe Vitale where he talks about how money loves speed. The faster you take the inspired action, the better it is.
Remember that this guidance is sacred and you have been entrusted to carry it through. So do your job and take the action!
